KLEOS Edu respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, protect and retain information when you use our website or education counselling services.
Information we collect
We may collect contact details, academic history, career interests, preferred destinations, financial-planning information and documents you voluntarily provide. Chatbot conversations are stored so we can maintain conversation records, review quality and reuse suitable answers to general questions. If you choose an advisor handoff, we ask for your current city and country. We may add an approximate location from browser location only when permission was already granted, without displaying a new permission prompt; otherwise we may estimate city and country locally from the connection address. The raw connection address and precise browser coordinates are not attached to the chatbot transcript or advisor email. Do not enter passwords, portal links or other sensitive credentials in chat. Where you use an assessment service, we may also process aptitude, personality and interest results. Basic technical information such as browser, device and site usage may be collected for security and improvement.
How we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries, provide personalised counselling, support applications and visas, administer assessments, maintain service records, improve our website and meet legal obligations. We process information with your consent or where reasonably necessary to provide a requested service.
Sharing and security
Information may be shared with universities, assessment providers or other service partners only when required for your chosen service and with appropriate authority. We do not sell personal information. Reasonable organisational and technical safeguards are used, though no internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Retention, cookies and third parties
Records are kept only as long as required for service, legal and operational purposes. Chatbot transcripts are normally retained for up to 365 days, while reusable generated answers normally expire after 30 days unless refreshed. Cookies and analytics may be used to operate and improve the site. Third-party websites and services have their own privacy practices.
Your rights
You may request access, correction or deletion of your personal information, or withdraw consent where applicable. Our services are not directed to children without the involvement of a parent or guardian.
